My name is Katherine Gray, I’m working as a part-time artist and illustrator based in Winston-Salem, NC, and working my way towards getting my Bachelor’s degree in Animation. I got my Associates in Fine Arts in 2023, using the time to build fundamental skills across a multitude of mediums (oil, charcoal, printmaking, acrylic, ink, mixed media, etc.) and learning to not only replicate my surroundings, but be inspired by them.

Once I transferred to my current school and began my current program, I moved away from figure drawing, abstraction, and portrait painting to explore more conceptual pieces in mediums that weren’t available to me prior (vinyl, collage, gouache, digital, wood, metal, plaster, fabric, etc.)!

Moving forward I hope for two things— to rebuild my portfolio (a devastating loss at the beginning of 2022), and build a community through collaboration and illustration!
